Sherburn Flight Sim and computer fair

Hi all,

I'll be attending the Sherburn Flight Sim Show this year at the Aero club just outside Leeds. Many well known FS vendors and suppliers will be there, which include cockpitsonic. I'm looking forward to the event myself, it'll be a great day, and was wondering if anyone else has plans to attend.

This is the closest Flight Sim convention in the north of England so this is great for people living in the North where usually most shows as held down south closer to London.

Also if any vendors/ suppliers would like to confirm their attendance we would be interested to know.

Thanks very much, and i will look forward to potentially meeting some of you.

(There is a video of last years event along with pictures on the website, and ticket prices if anyone requires further information about the event)

I'd be interested in knowing what Aerosoft Mega-Scenery and Fly Tampa is up to for their next releases if you can weadle it out of them.

They don't speak about it on their forums. Hopefully somewhere that I like flying to.

A truly excellent day!

Sherburn yesterday was a great trip. Same as cosford it was very hard rain and on the return journey visibility of less than 10 metres in front of the car nevertheless the exhibition itself was great.

A full front section of a P-27 military aircraft was in the hangar which had been converted to a simulator. The owner, being an electricals technician had enough experience to restore all the original guages to interface with flight simulator and others replaced with realistic simkits. The throttle, flaps and gear were all restored and working with FS. A truly fantastic setup.

Along with this were a cessna flight cockpit MIP section and another GA aircraft with a projector for the visuals which was nice to see. Alongside these were stalls selling parts, and vendors items from VRInsight, Saitek, etc.

Everyone very friendly had a good chat with many and how many different ways people are going about tackling various problems and situations in the building aspect.

Gained a lot of knowledge from that experience. And to top the day off met up with Mike not far from Sherburn and saw he's excellent sim there. Although there were no boeing sims at sherburn for obvious transport reasons the visit to mikes afterwards more than made up for that.

So a big thank you to Mike and anyone associated with the organiseation of sherburn flight sim exhibition despite the typical british weather. THe funny thing was the organiser said we were bringing the event forward to august for the very reason to avoid the bad weather ... Deary me.

And fuerteventura, did you end up going?

Regards

Geremy.

P.S I should be able to get some pics on tomorrow.
