Hello. I have a Vista 64bit machine with the Matrox TH2GO, Nvidia GeForce 9800GT, and 3 Dell 2208WFP monitors. After doing all of the firmware upgrades, etc to the Matrox I have never been able to get the 3 - 1680x1050 but I was able to create a custom resolution and get the 5040x1050 through the NVIDIA control panel. Here is my problem...when I open FSX I can only select a maximum resolution of 4080x768 which is the most the Matrox Power Desk will show me as well. I am beginning to think this is a problem with Vista 64bit and wonder if I should back down to 32bit....Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

I remember reading the solution on http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/. There is some way to force it, but I forget how.

Hi, New member here. Old simmer.
Th2Go digital (over 1 year now)

My FSX seems to not recognize my 2D panels anymore. I do have 2D set in FSX menu. I just get a black box where the panel should be.
I also use the higher res 5040 x 1050 I just downloaded from Matrox. After installing the GMX and updates from Matrox, and rebooting a few times (updated and rolled back drivers etc...), FSX sees the 5040 x 1050 res. It worked for one night.
But now all my 2D panels are gone in FSX.
When in windows (single screen mode), I can see the 2D cockpits. But only if I start in windows view. As soon as I go into full screen mode, there is just a black box. I do get the 3D. Also at the same time, my cursor is "flickering" like mad in FSX.

I have tried everything including going back to smaller res, to no avail.
