Alan:

Will FS2Phidgets to recognize a 1062 PhidgetStepper?
I am considering possibly using stepper motors to drive an HI and an Altimeter.

I have exactly the same problem, only difference is that I want to modify a magnetic compass using a stepper and a magnet underneath.
Fs2phidget refuses to control the stepper although it recognises it. I wonder how difficult it would be to make a small vb program that takes data variables from FS and drives the stepper..
Any ideas folks??

HI - trying to do the same thing - for the mag compass -

there is a continuous turn hitec - http://www.servocity.com/html/hsr-1425cr__continuous_rotatio.html

But there's no position feedback in this - not sure how this would work - maybe an encoder for feedback in the loop?

Are you using FS2Phidgets to control?
