I know this post is quite old, but it is truly invaluable. The L45 has tons of these Korry switches and so I have decided I am going to take a stab at making my own for the time being. However, I want to make a slight change to make a slightly more realistic setup. I have sourced acrylic tube and bar, the sizes of which are .75" (3/4") for the tube and 5/8" for the bar to be inserted. I got my dims from here:

http://www.korry.com/PDF/Korry_389_mag_latch.pdf

...and double checked them on my Lear 45 MIP file and they are fairly spot on from what I can tell (they should be!) and so I wanted to double check with you all here if you think these two products here would allow me to make the case and button:

http://www.tapplastics.com/shop/product.php?pid=142
http://www.tapplastics.com/shop/product.php?pid=150&

24457 3/4" x 6' Square Acrylic Tubing
24112 5/8" x 6' Square Acrylic Bar

It states that the OD is 1/16" of the tubing. Best I can figure, the 5/8" should slide in, even if it takes a bit of sanding on the edges, right?

As always, thanks for taking a look and offering your input. Maybe this will be helpful to others as well.

That's one area I have a definate advantage for my build. Korries for the 727 are everywhere when you buy the panels they are installed in. Fortunately for me, not everyone takes the time to figure out how they are assembled so they can be removed.

You could probably get as much for one working Korry indicator as you could for the panel all by itself.

There are 24 Korry's on most 727 instrument panels as well almost a dozen more made by Grimes, Eaton, and others. I won't even go into the overhead count except to say they are the round style with no legend.
