Hi,

I am trying to find a good solutions for my visuals the last year looking for good projector's (front or back) and etc.

Looking today, I learned about the 3D projection which looks amazing. Here some links.

How it looks like

and the projector

something new with just a foil?

I'd like this topic to be updated from anyone that have any informations or probably some experiance.

Can this be done with fs outside views? It would be great.

About 10 years ago Sublogic, which was then a superior alternative to FS had not only interactive ATC (sound) but came up with a 3D display..I still have the glasses somewhere with one red and one green lenses. The approaches where definitly impressive in real 3D once your brains switched on it.
Now with polarized instead of colored glasses, could certainly be done for Virtual cockpit views and more important for full outside view.

(Probably something that MS11 could come up with to lure forever FS9 diehards!!!! in other words, progress that no one can stop and will force us to buy new projectors..Ha ha!)

Regarding Sublogic; correct me if I'm wrong, I thought MS bought Sublogic FS and that was the start of MS FS, although later Sublogic came out with another version, I think called Airliners?

The 3D was called ATP
I'm not sure anymore about Sublogic ...got them all, ATP, Sierra ProPilot, there was even another one..cant remeber the name ..came in two successive versions with a Cessna Citation I think???

Anyone around without Alzeimer??

Cheers

Microprose was the one I had for the Commodore 64/128. Might have been a part of Sublogic. Don't have the computer or box anymore.

Ahhh, ATP, that was it. I still have them in the original boxes somewhere :) How excited I was when I got them. And now look where we are. I've kept my C-64 and Amiga just because of those :) :) :)

There is a site where you can download old FS3. I did. it works on XP.
It is absolutely incredible to imagine that we could have fun with that!

Jack if you can think of the site let me know.... I've tried different ones, and never had any luck. Always froze up my system.... LOL. I think it was either FS3 or FS4 I started my first sim, I used (and still have) my single lens, green screen projector, LOL. My flight sim junk yard.... LOL :) :) :)

Try that
http://fshistory.simflight.com/fsvault/msfs3.htm

FS3 works fine click on fs3.exe once all files are downloaded, Control-C to Exit.

Have fun!

Boy, did this thread get hijacked ;-) after the topicstarter not a single reply thatgot back to the starter :-)

Achilles, Thanks for the links. I knew about 3D projectors but these cost at least 10 times the one you linked to.

This is an interesting development. I will surely dig into it.

I think space will be a problem though for the average sim.
