Building motion base 2dof , using electric AC motors (to move platform), using AC motor controller drive (Yaskawa V1000 controller), need to recieve a 0-10volt signal to activate controler , which then sends message to motor, How do I get a 0-10volt signal from a Pc (joystick ) as the joystick will in turn actvate motors . Can someone explain the best method to do this , and how , and were to obtain parts , etc

Please keep in mind, Motion hasn't been all that experimented with. Most people would start their sim first.

That would probably be why there hasn't been that many responses to your questions. Not many have ventured into the realm of Motion.

Well, I did not answer your question because it is far too vague. What you asked covers far too much ground to have a simple one page answer. There are many many factors that go into making the decision of what interface and how to implement it than anyone can answer in a post.

If you can break it down into smaller questions, then you will possibly get more answers.

I can tell you this to get you started.

Begin to plan the inside of your sim. 1 or 2 man? Exact replica or generic? Commercial jet or small Cessna style?

Now that you have answered that:
Sit down and draw the OUTSIDE of your sim with measurements. When you have motion, you have to account for it. Draw a circle around the sim so that all of it is inside the circle. Measure across the circle. This is the amount of room you will need for your sim. (This assumes a full 360 deg yaw) Draw it from the side. Draw it in all possible extreme positions so you will not be later suprised to slam into the wall or ceiling when you start doing acrobatic rolls in the sim.

Something to think about....
Will you build in full 360 deg motion? How many axis will you have? (2 is easiest, 3 is harder but really worth it if you choose Yaw).

Answer all this and then you will have a much better idea of how to ask more targeted questions. And read the links Roland gave you. Good stuff there.
