Hi Steve. Use an Nvidia card they work best with PM. And it does not have to be a high end card. A cheap 64mb one will work fine.

Some/most PM programs need OpenGL accelleration capabilities.

I have bought a new AGP card that is supposed to support open GL, but it refuses to run PM systems. It is a 7700 ATI. In another PC I have an ATI 9600 which does run PM GC. Clueless as to the difference, both support OpenGL but only one works.

I purchased an old second hand AGP Nvidia card, which runs PM systems sweet. So it seems that Nvidia does the best job and has the better drivers for OpenGL. I think Bob can confirm this.

Best is to check the PM forum for issues on card and OpenGL and see whether it will work, and there is some info on which drivers to use at the Notams page of PM. And you can ask PM's Katy Pluta before you buy, she seems to know most issues.
