has anyone had two projectors running from a single 8800 card?

Yes, it'll work just fine. It's just like using 2 monitors. Most of the same up and downsides to it. In XP you can horizontal-span and it'll behave like a DH2G. The downside is blending the 2 edges at the center of your FOV. At least projectors are better in that you don't have monitor bezels in your center FOV in that setup. People commonly use the TH2G to push 3840x1024 on a single 8800, so horizontal-spanned 2560x720 or 2048x768 without the need of a DH2G or TH2G is no problem at all. :)

If I had my replacement bulb for one of my InFocus SP5000's I could show you an example of it working. I've only got 1 1024x768 and 1 1280x720 projector working atm though. It would look sorta silly with the mix-matched resolutions. I need to get another bulb purchased soon so I can dual-projector again.

I love surplus hardware. It's dirt cheap because noone wants to troubleshoot it, so you tend to get some killer deals if you know anything about the equipment. I just picked up the black InFocus projector in the picture for $50 surplus 2 weeks ago. 1 of my 2 SP5000's I got from an auction for $110. They couldn't diagnose the problems with it. Knowledge > Money sometimes imho. :)

Depends on the game and the settings. I think 1X zoom in MSFS it would be 90 degrees for 2048x768 it would be wider fov for 2560x720.
