Hi to everybody,

My name is Errol:lol:

Recently I came upon a cockpit building site and got hooked.
I've been commercial pilot licened since 1990 with a instrument rating. Besides my job, I've been doing free ambulance flights for my tiny island.

Now I want to extend my flying days by building a 737NG cockpit.
I happen to come on this nice website while running around the WEB trying to gather info valuable for me, to help me "hopefully" on my way fulfilling this dream.

I have some bad news though, there is no cure for the bug that bit you. LOL the only thing you can do to ease the feeling is to think of simpits all the time like the rest of us. LOL

I second Black Widow's prognosis. No cure is available. You can only treat the symptoms. Welcome to the group. You will find a lot of help on your 737.

Welcome my friend, Ive only been a member for a week yet feel like a part of it already you will find tonnes of info on here to help you and if not its only a post away.

Im building either a 737ng or 747 cant decide on which although the 747 is in my heart so its looking more likely that i will go down that path, if i can be of any assistance please dont hesitate to contact me, once again welcome.

I was kind of in the same boat. Had my PPL and working on other ratings then life, family got in the way. I had always been a flight simmer and have wanted a cockpit for as long as I can remember. Now the job I have today will allow me to pay for it once Peter releases my DSTD shhhhh can't say no more http://www.flightdecksolutions.com/forum/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif . I knew I was never going to be the captain of an airliner and and the level of realism aircraft, vatsim etc really makes it that much more enjoyable to fly virtually then to do all the planning, making time to do it for real. You are absolutely right when you do it for real it becomes work and it does lose some of that wow factor. It's sad that I get more excited doing the check lists in my virtual 777 then I did in the full scale Cirrus. The real planes will always be there as a fun weekend with friends but day in and day out I want my virtual airliner.
