It's time to say goodbye to our faithful Toyota Camry and we are buying this GM 2004 VZ SS Commodore. All the Aussies will know it well and our US friends will be pleased to hear that they are powered by the Chevrolet 350CI LS1 engine. I've had this car on my wish list since it was built! The two door version is exported back to the US as a GTO. Soooooooo stoked!!! I just have to sell ten TQs to pay for it!

Take it it also flies...

250kilowatts, 0-100kph = 5.9secs but they had to remove the wings, they didn't comply with Australian Design Regulations and it wouldn't fit in the garage!

That's a proper car!

I take it you're enjoying it ?

Body-wise, a similar car in the UK is the Vauxhall Omega, but the maximum engine size available in that car is 3.0 V6 (I used to have one).

I bet yours is a real blast with that engine in it! In the UK we just don't really have engine capacities like that as the typical. There are just too many of us on a pretty small island, so to avoid smog we tend to drive 1000-2000cc cars in the main. :D

(Although I have a remapped VW Golf PD TDi that puts out 180bhp - dunno what that is in kW)... she will cover 0-100kmh in 6.5 secs.... not bad for an oil burner!)

The 66?? What engine and tranny package? I have a long love affair with the "Stang" I have owned 9 64 1/2 - 89. Best one I owned was the 65 that my dad had ordered in 65. 289 HP, EXP Auto trans (only 150 made that year) Factory traction bars.... When I got it in 75 it had been off the road since 68 32K miles..... Wow I miss that one! SHOULD HAVE NEVER SOLD THAT ONE!!!

It's a 289HP Auto and drives really sweet, only 42 turns lock to lock to turn a corner. It only has lap seat belts which is a bit scary. It's LOUD! I think it's actually a 67. The owners - www.tuffstuffautos.com.au (http://www.tuffstuffautos.com.au)
